Summer Love! Jaime "Rouge" Sadok became engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Elan, on Wednesday August 25. Dena "Jazzy" Mizrahi also became engaged to her boyfriend, Chris, several weeks before.

Wedding Bells Will be Ringing in The Dominican Republic. Alini "McMahon" Brito's date to tie the knot has been set for August 5, 2006!

Alejandra "Dream" Muniz is going to have a baby!! She is currently four months pregnant. Best wishes for a healty birth.

January 2005: Alpha Sigma Sisters rang in the new year in style, raising over $500 for Tsunami relief at their most recent party! The money will be sent to the Red Cross or another charitable organization dedicated to helping the victims of the terrible tragedy. Thank you to everyone who came out in support of this worthwhile cause.

Recently Alpha Sigma sisters heard from Ashley "Capri" Mailloux who is currently in North Carolina with her husband Adam and new baby girl, Kailey Deanna! Proud mamma said "She was seven pounds fifteen ounces and twenty inches. Her birthday is december 20, 2004. She's three months wearing six month clothes!" Congratulations on all of your happiness!

April 16, 2005 - Congratulations to the Psi Pledge class for officially becoming sisters of Alpha Sigma Sorority! This makes our sorority one of the biggest on the Brooklyn College campus!

-On September 15th, the sisters of Alpha Sigma raised money and went to Central Park to do the Susan G. Komen Walk for Breast Cancer. Thanks to all the sisters who participated.

- On October 12th, the Tau Pledge Class was officially inducted and became pledges of Alpha Sigma Sorority. Congratulations to Eclypse, Jerzi, Madison, Merrick, Reeses and Sprint.

- On October 20th, the sisters of Alpha Sigma raised money once again for our philanthropy and did the Making Strides Walk for breast cancer in Prospect Park. Thanks again girls and keep up the great work!

- On October 26th, Zeta Beta Tau held their annual Halloween Party at Bounce in Brooklyn. A huge congratulations is in order for our Tau Pledge Class for being the cutest bunnies anyone has ever seen and for winning ZBT's costume contest.

- During this month of October, some of our sisters moved up in the world of business. Pamela Young received a promotion as an Associate Content Designer at Fisher Price. Stephanie Glantz just recently received her own Claire's Accessories store and is manager at the South Street Seaport. Jessica Vargas received a brand new Claire's Accessories store out in Union, New Jersey and Jessica Torres went back to be store manager at the 86th street store in Brooklyn. Congratulations girls and good luck!

- On 11/1/02, Jeanette Nigro aka Meriso finally tied the knot with her boyfriend for like 20 years, Christian. We all know how much you two love each other and we wish you both the best of luck and a lifetime full of happiness! Congrats!!!

- We just received word that one of our Founding Mothers, Deborah Grillo Mehl is a proud mommy of a beautiful baby girl. She gave birth on September 18th, 2002 and the baby's name is Nicole Marie. Congratulations Deborah!

- Happy Anniversary for Alpha Sigma Sorority!!! Ten long years and we are still strong as ever! Here is to another great 10 years together!

- Congratulations is in order for one of our very special founding mothers. Vicki Burke was engaged to her boyfriend Damian Trum. Their wedding is planned for April 11, 2003. Congratulations Vicki!!!

- To celebrate our 10 year anniversary, the old and the new was able to come together to reminisce on old times, new beginnings, about how Alpha Sigma changed their lives and where we are now. Almost every alumni and every active sister got together for a dinner at C&C Catering in Brooklyn to celebrate. It definitely was quite a night as we all learned about each other and the new sisters were able to see where they came from. We all just want to say thanks to our Founding Mothers, for if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have memories like these to cherish for the rest of our lives.

- In February 2002, Alpha Sigma was given an award for "Website of the Month" from Local Sororities Online. Congratulations girls!!!

- On March 19, Vera Rusolo Mulhare, one of our founding mothers, gave birth to a baby boy. His name is Andrew Thomas and he weighed 7lbs and 1 ounce and was 20 1/2 inches long!!! Congrats Vera!!!

- On March 23rd, Lisa Rotondi became known as Mrs. Mark Pinsky. Congratulations Lola and keep us posted on any "additions" to the family!

- During the month of May, Alpha Sigma took part in what is annually known as Greek Games on Brooklyn College Campus. This year we were teamed up with Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity and with their help we were able to take home the gold. Congratulations to Zeta Beta Tau and great work girls on achieving first place in Greek Games 2002.

- We aren't sure of the exact date, but Jenny Peltz Phillips gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Congrats Jenny!

- On May 3rd, 2002, Robin Duchaine informed us that she gave birth to a 6lb baby girl named Nicole Lynn. Congratulations Robin!!!

- During the month of June, Alpha Sigma gained three new Alumni gradutates! Congratulations is in order for Lisa Vetrano, Janet Recchia, and Bella Fayer! Good luck girls!

- On August 5th, 2001 the old and new were brought together at a BBQ. All active sisters and some alumni came out and met at our Alumni BBQ. It started at 12 noon and sisters didn't leave until almost 10 o'clock that night! It was a great opportunity for us to get to meet our past and we are definitely looking forward to another event!! Thanks!

- Another new addition is soon going to be added to the Alpha Sigma family. Our sister Robin and her husband are expecting another baby next year in May!! Congrats Robin and keep us posted on how you are doing.

- Alpha Sigma just received word that Jenny Peltz-Phillips is now the proud mommy of a beautiful baby boy! Congrats Jenny!!!

- On September 21 of this year, the sisters of Alpha Sigma wanted to show our true colors and try to help all those in need during this terrible time. We held a party that night at Club International and with the help of everyone that attended, old sisters, new sisters, family and friends Alpha Sigma was able to raise $500 dollars for the people whose lives were directly affected in this horrific tragedy. The sisters of Alpha Sigma just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed, we hope that with this money we help at least one person who needed it most.

- On Saturday, September 29th of this year, the sisters of Alpha Sigma gathered together for one of our most sacred nights of sisterhood. The Rho Pledge Class was officially inducted in as pledges and has now begun on their road towards sisterhood. Congratulations goes to Rouge.

- On Sunday, November 25th, Alpha Sigma participated in Zeta Beta Tau's 9th Annual Greek Goddess Competition. Pascal and Lupi both represented Alpha Sigma and truly gave it their all. They put on a great performance. Congratulations is in order for Pascal for placing 3rd in the competition.

- Recently, Alpha Sigma was rewarded with an award from Brooklyn College for the sorority who raised the most money for the relief efforts of September 11th. Alpha Sigma participated in a walk around the campus and raised $500 for families at Brooklyn College that have lost family members. Good work girls!!!

- On December 17th, 2001 Katrine "Togepi" Shostak gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. The baby's name is Ava Gizelle Ali and weighed in at 6lbs and 13oz. Congrats Togepi and please send us pictures as soon as you can!

- Jessica "Pagoda" Vargas is making her way out of New York!! She found an apartment with her family and is going to live out in Union, New Jersey. Good luck Jessie!

- On December 30th, our new eboard was elected in and is now the official eboard of year 2002. Congratulations goes to Kathleen "Lupi" Khan as President, Denise "Delani" Pudlowski as Vice President, Marjorie "Spade" Montinola as Treasurer and finally Ayesha "Miles" Marty as Secretary. Alpha Sigma wished you girls the best of luck.

- On December 31st, one of the newest members of Alpha Sigma Sorority was inducted in as an official sister. Congratulations to Jaime "Rouge" Sadok of the Rho Pledge Class. You have come a long way and you have made us very proud. Wear your letters with pride because you worked very hard for them!

- Recently one of our sisters, Tyde, moved away to North Carolina to live with her fiance. We just wanted to say we miss you!

- February 14th, 2001...Happy Anniversary to Alpha Sigma. Nine years and still going strong!

- Great job on our Valentine Bake Sale. We raised sixty dollars for the American Cancer Society.

- The sisters of Alpha Sigma want to congratulate Rebecca Weinstein. She was just recently married on March 17, 2001. We wish you all the best of luck and tons of happiness in the years to come. Keep us posted on any new additions to your family!

- Congratulations is in order for our sister Jenny Bonilla for making Dean's List at Hunter College with a GPA of 3.6. Keep up the great work Jenny!

- We all did a great job at our party on April 28th, 2001. We raised almost 200 dollars for the American Liver Foundation. Thanks to all of you who supported us!!

- On May 3rd, 2001, the sisters of Alpha Sigma attended Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority's annual Greek Awards and the sisters really racked up on the awards that night. Congratulations to all of you who won and to those of you who were nominated!!

- At our last meeting of the semester, May 9, 2001, our athletic chair, Jenny Bonilla awarded one of our sisters with Alpha Sigma's MVP of Greek Games. Congratulations to Spade!! You really kicked some ass during that week.

- On May 16, 2001, Alpha Sigma was officially awarded with our 2nd Place in Greek Games trophy at IGC's annual award dinner. Congratulations girls!

- IGC also gave Spade an award for MVP of Greek Games!! Great job Spade!!

- Bella "Mig" was inducted into Brooklyn College's Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society, Brooklyn College's first chapter. She is also on Brooklyn College's Dean List as well. Congratulations Mig and keep up the good work!

- Congratulations is in order for two of our sisters, Beals and Baine. They are now officially Alpha Sigma Alumni!! They graduated June 1, 2001 from Brooklyn College.

- On June 3rd, 2001, the sisters of Alpha Sigma participated in the American Liver Foundation's Liver Walk in Riverside Park, Manhattan. All together the sisters raised over $500 towards the fight against liver disease and walked with pride the long three miles. We hope more people will join us next year to raise more money and awareness.

- On June 6th, 2001, Alini was awarded a student service award for Oustanding Contribution to the Campus and Community from The Division of Student Life at Brooklyn College. Congratulations Alini & keep up the good work!

- On June 7th, 2001, Alpha Sigma was given an award for Oustanding Contribution to the Brooklyn College Campus from the student government USL. Congrats girls!! Next year we'll retake the Best Sorority award!!

- On June 30th, 2001, the sisters of Alpha Sigma celebrated together at their Annual Spring Formal at the Sheraton in Newark Airport. It was a great success! Thank you to all the sisters who contributed to make it possible.

- On June 30th, 2001, the same night of the our Spring Formal one of our most loved sisters Alini Brito got the suprise of her life! Her boyfriend Ruben, finally popped the question and they are now engaged to be married. The sisters are all so happy for Alini. We all know how happy he makes her and we all wish her the best of luck! Congrats!

- On June 30th, our founding president, Kelly Chapman was married to Paul Caruso. Congrats Kelly and keep us posted on any new additions to the family!!!
